Buyer Guide
Fixed Character Displays or Wearable Mascots?
A fixed character provides a stationary landmark; a wearable involves a performer and requires a separate design review. This supplier-evaluation guide does not confirm InflatCraft wearable costume availability. Ask the proposed specialist supplier to confirm feasibility before treating a concept or requested dimension as an available product.

Choose the interaction before the silhouette
A fixed character display can anchor a photo area or identify a sponsor without requiring someone to perform inside it. Establish its position, viewing distance, audience approach and support arrangements first. A familiar character silhouette can suit several formats, but changing from stationary decoration to performer-operated equipment is a new design brief.
Suppliers may use custom inflatable mascot costume and custom wearable inflatable costume for the same performer-operated format. These overlapping names do not establish how a particular design will work. Describe the planned movement, audience interaction and operator requirements, then request a review of that exact activity; a stationary display quotation does not demonstrate wearable suitability.
Review the performer experience in detail
A custom walking inflatable mascot should be assessed against the actual route and actions expected of the performer. Describe doorways, steps, surfaces, turning space, audience proximity and whether the performer must carry anything. Ask the specialist supplier how visibility, communication, entry and exit are addressed in the proposed design.
A branded inflatable mascot costume may also be described as a custom inflatable character costume. In either case, review logo readability, character recognition and performer mobility together. Check the artwork placement and proportions during a demonstration with the intended operator instead of assuming the terminology describes different products.
An inflatable mascot costume manufacturer should explain the operating instructions, power arrangement, maintenance needs and restrictions for the exact proposal. Identify who will supervise use and how the performer can stop and exit promptly. Have the event team plan rest arrangements and assess heat, crowd interaction and other location-specific risks; this guide supplies no universal operating duration.
Define the activation and scale realistically
An inflatable mascot costume for promotions needs a workable staffing plan as well as a memorable face. Specify the interactions, locations, number of sessions and support team rather than asking only for a costume height. An inflatable mascot costume for brand activation may also need rehearsed choreography, approved messaging and coordination with photographers or event hosts.
A brief requesting a 3m wearable inflatable mascot states a desired scale, not a stocked product or confirmed wearable configuration. Ask the supplier to assess visibility, movement, exit access, transport and venue clearance before presenting that dimension as achievable. If the performer-centered requirements cannot be resolved, revisit a fixed display with a separately staffed interaction area.
Compare the complete operating commitment
Compare proposals using the same activity, artwork, event schedule and destination. Separate the product, power equipment, packing, freight and any demonstration or training in the quotation. Ask what is included in the operating instructions and what the organiser must provide. A lower purchase price may still require more staffing or preparation at each appearance.
For repeat campaigns, identify the approved design revision and agree how replacement parts, cleaning and storage will be handled. Ask for packed dimensions and handling instructions before deciding how the team will travel between venues. Confirm these details with the supplier.
Make the approval decision explicit
Reconcile the final drawing, performer review and quotation before ordering. Record any outstanding questions and assign responsibility. If wearable feasibility remains unconfirmed, compare a stationary character display against the same campaign objective instead of assuming the costume can be supplied.

Ask about feasibility before requesting a quote
State clearly whether the request is for a fixed display or a wearable costume. Wearable capability and the proposed design need confirmation before any quotation; the static mascot product page does not establish costume availability.
