Built for the Mexican market

Shipping to Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey

Commercial imports into Mexico are handled by an importer registered in the Padrón de Importadores, and the import declaration (pedimento) is filed by a licensed customs broker, who pays duty and 16% IVA. Express or air freight usually takes 4–15 working days after dispatch and sea routes 20–45 days. DDP options are reviewed by quotation.

Mexican peak dates and artwork deadlines

Plan around Independence Day on 16 September, Día de Muertos on 1–2 November and El Buen Fin (13–17 November 2026). Trade fairs include Expo Publicitas at Centro Banamex (every May) and Expo ANTAD in Guadalajara. As a planning estimate from our production and freight ranges, approve artwork about 12 weeks before installation for a complex piece shipped by sea, or about 7 weeks by air. Working back from El Buen Fin in mid-November, that means approving artwork by late August for a complex piece shipped by sea, or by late September for air freight.

Planning for the rainy season

Across most of Mexico the rainy season runs from May to October, when up to 80% of the year's rain falls. For outdoor campaigns in those months we review material, seams, the blower position and a covered power connection for the actual site, and agree a weather shutdown plan with the organiser.

Civil protection and venue files in Spanish

In Mexico City, organisers of public or mass events in spaces not normally used for them must prepare a Programa Especial de Protección Civil through an accredited third party. Ask the venue or organiser what they need from the supplier before production; approval drawings and labels can be prepared in Spanish.

Mockup review before production

Every design is approved on a scaled drawing and colour mockup before cutting starts, so an agency in Mexico City or Monterrey can take it through client sign-off. Revisions happen at the drawing stage, and the production clock starts from final approval.

Multi-city and repeat campaigns

For a campaign running in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey, each unit is packed and labelled by destination city. Approved patterns are kept on file, so a repeat order for next year's Buen Fin or Día de Muertos does not start pattern work again.

Mexico FAQ

How are custom inflatables imported into Mexico?

The importer must be registered in the Padrón de Importadores, and a licensed customs broker files the pedimento and pays duty and 16% IVA. DDP options are reviewed by quotation; confirm the tariff classification with your customs broker.

Are inflatables suitable for outdoor events in Mexico's rainy season?

Yes, with site planning. The rainy season runs from May to October across most of the country, so material, seams, blower position and a covered power connection are reviewed for the site, and a weather shutdown plan is agreed with the organiser.

What documents do Mexican venues and organisers ask for?

It depends on the venue and the city. In Mexico City, public or mass events in spaces not normally used for them need a Programa Especial de Protección Civil prepared through an accredited third party. Ask the organiser what they need from the supplier; drawings can be prepared in Spanish.

When should we order for El Buen Fin or Día de Muertos?

Work back from your installation date. Production takes 3–8, 7–15 or 15–25 days by complexity, plus freight: 4–15 working days by air or 20–45 days by sea. For a complex piece shipped by sea, approve artwork about 12 weeks before installation.

AI Sourcing Guide

Use ChatGPT, Gemini, or Claude to build a cleaner RFQ before you send it to the factory.

AI works best when the brief is structured. This guide turns rough notes into a supplier-ready checklist, then sends you toward the RFQ form, factory verification, and the buyer questions that usually decide the quote.
