The Saudi Event Calendar and What It Means for Your Order Date
Riyadh Season runs from October into March, Founding Day falls on 22 February and Saudi National Day on 23 September, and retail and entertainment campaigns cluster around them. LEAP, the Kingdom’s technology event, fills the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham and draws large stand builds. Turning that into an order date is arithmetic: bulk production typically takes 3–8 days for simple items, 7–15 days for standard custom work and 15–25 days for complex or large pieces, counted from final design approval, freight on top at express or air usually 4–15 working days or sea, rail or truck usually 20–45 days, and the conformity registration running in parallel. Working back from Saudi National Day on 23 September, that means approving artwork by early July for a complex piece shipped by sea, or by early August for air freight.

The calendar
Riyadh Season runs from October into March, Founding Day falls on 22 February and Saudi National Day on 23 September, and retail and entertainment campaigns cluster around them. LEAP, the Kingdom’s technology event, fills the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre in Malham and draws large stand builds.
For a brand, the useful split is between fixed dates and seasons. Founding Day and National Day are fixed, so they can be planned a year ahead. Riyadh Season is a window rather than a date, which means the risk is not missing a deadline but arriving after the venues, contractors and freight capacity are committed.
From event date to order date
Bulk production typically takes 3–8 days for simple items, 7–15 days for standard custom work and 15–25 days for complex or large pieces, counted from final design approval. Freight comes on top: express or air usually 4–15 working days, and sea, rail or truck usually 20–45 days, after dispatch and subject to route and customs
Working back from Saudi National Day on 23 September, that means approving artwork by early July for a complex piece shipped by sea, or by early August for air freight.
Add the approvals. The conformity registration for the shipment and the venue's own document requirements both start from information fixed at design approval, so a project plan that puts them after production is a plan with a gap in it.
Repeat and multi-city campaigns
MOQ is 1 piece for most custom projects, so one piece can be made, imported and reviewed before a larger run. Pattern and print setup are paid once per design, so a second unit for another city costs less per piece, and next season's repeat order does not start pattern work again.
For a campaign across Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, each unit is packed and labelled by destination city, and the freight split is decided with the packed dimensions in hand rather than after the cartons exist.
Climate as a scheduling input
Summer heat is extreme across most of the Kingdom, so outdoor work is usually planned for the cooler months, and shaded or indoor positions are reviewed with the site.
That is one reason the season sits where it does. If a summer installation is unavoidable, it belongs indoors or in shade, with operating hours agreed with the venue, and the material and air system reviewed for the actual position.
What to send for a quote
The event or season you are planning for, the venue and city, the product type and target size, quantity, print-ready artwork, and who will act as importer. If you are working to a fixed date, send that date first: everything else in the quotation is arranged around it.

Figures this guide is written against.
Lead time
- Typical: Bulk production typically takes 3–8 days for simple items, 7–15 days for standard custom work and 15–25 days for complex or large pieces, counted from final design approval
- Can be shorter: Repeat orders on an approved design can run shorter
- Freight and import time come on top. Lead time is confirmed per project once artwork, size, quantity and destination are fixed; treat any figure quoted before that as indicative.
